| Diversity Lesson 101: LGBTQ Asians |
[07 Jan 2009|08:13pm] |
Asians are considered racial minorities, but there is very little effort to include their people, customs, and or specific issues within the context of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Community. They are overshadowed by other races and rarely taken into account.

| A Jihad for Love (2007) Torn by the Contradictions of Being Gay and Muslim |
[21 May 2008|02:24am] |
By NATHAN LEE Published: May 21, 2008 NYTimes.com
Sad to say, “A Jihad for Love” is not a sequel to the pornographic satire “The Raspberry Reich” (2004), in which pseudo-revolutionaries exhort their comely comrades to “join the homosexual intifada!” It is, rather more arduously, a dispatch from the outer limits of marginalization: a documentary on devout Muslims struggling with their homosexuality.

| Bahraini law |
[10 May 2008|06:41pm] |
So theres some mixed information on the web about Bahrain's stance on homosexuality. I am aware they deport foreign nationals who are homosexual. Some government websites say it is illegal while others say it isnt...
I need to know what bahrains stance is for my asylum case and was wondering if there were any lawyers familiar with bahraini law in the community who will give me accurate information.

Hi folks! I'm Zeo. I'm an Ashkenazi Jew living in the US, and am queer and trans (not exactly living as either a woman or a man; it started as female to male and then I just kept going). I am interested in Arab/Middle Eastern and North African politics and social issues, especially around queer/transness, resolving religious conflict, and decolonization/building something new/something better in regards to the mess that is Israel. Um. Hi!
